Stellar Assault (ステラアサルト), known in the United States as Shadow Squadron, is a Sega 32X game developed and published by Sega. It is a shoot-'em-up based around destroying most to all of the ships within the space given before moving on to the next sector. There are 6 sectors. It is one of only a few games to use every button on the six-button Genesis gamepad, including the MODE button.
There was also a Japan only sequel titled Stellar Assault SS for the Sega Saturn. It is considerably hard to find.
Sectors
- Sector 1: Destroy both large ships and all enemy fighters.
- Sector 2: Destroy the three large ships and the warp gate in the center of the sector.
- Sector 3: Set in an asteroid field. Destroy two large ships, small "booster" ships and all enemy fighters.
- Sector 4: Destroy all ten large ships.
- Sector 5: Destroy the two large ships and the massive ship.
- Sector 6: Destroy the machine in the center of the sector.
