Game Center CX: Mega Drive Special (ゲームセンターCX メガドライブ スペシャル) is a selection of episodes from Game Center CX by Fuji Television inside a DVD box which holds two DVD discs, produced by Gascoin Company and published by Happinet. All episodes hail from games available on the Sega Mega Drive and Sega Mega-CD. As per tradition, the DVD includes a DVD-exclusive episode, which is the Mega Drive version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
Almost a year later, a similar DVD box was done with episodes that feature PC Engine games, called Game Center CX: PC Engine Special.[2] While Atlus is credited for the Mesopotamia (known in the US as Somer Assault) episode, a mention of Sega in it is nowhere to be found.
