Bayonetta 2 is the sequel to Bayonetta and is being developed by Platinum Games. It is to be published by Nintendo as a Wii U exclusive. Sega published the first game, but are not as directly involved in this sequel - they are allegedly taking an "advisory" role, though are still being credited as being involved in development in some way.
In Europe, three different editions of Bayonetta 2 were announced, one with the game by itself, the "Special Edition" that will come with an enhanced version of the original Bayonetta beside it, and a "First Print Edition" that comes with the original Bayonetta plus an artbook. In regions outside Europe the original Bayonetta comes with Bayonetta 2 by default but there is no edition that comes with the artbook.
Buying the game digitally gives the purchaser a discount for the original Bayonetta.
