Ancient (エインシャント) is a Japanese video game development studio founded by composer Yuzo Koshiro and his immediate family. Incorporated on April 1st, 1990, the studio is perhaps most known for Streets of Rage 2 and its sequel, The Story of Thor series, and the Sega Mark III version of sonic:Sonic the Hedgehog (8-bit).
