Sylvan Tale (シルヴァン テイル) is an action RPG for the Sega Game Gear that was only released in Japan. It was unique for its time due to having a more linear progression than was common for action RPGs, being much more closely tied to the items in the player's possession at whatever point in the story.

The script was written by Keiji Terui, a scriptwriter for anime like Dr. Slump and Dragon Ball, as well as previous Famicom games such as The Legend of Zelda, Yuuyuki and Time Twist: Rekishi no Katasumi de....

History

Legacy

The game was later re-released as one of the four games pre-installed on the blue model Game Gear Micro.
