Ninja is a graphical text adventure game developed by Australian company Softgold (formerly Gameworx Software), which specialised in multi-load text adventures written in BASIC.
It was released on the SC-3000 in 1984 by Dotsoft, exclusively in Australia. The game was also released on Commodore 64 in the same year.
Gameplay is based on the Scott Adams Standard 2-word verb-noun parser.
Synopsis
"Many centuries ago, the Gray Ninja stole the statue of Jozen away from their arch enemies, the Kuboto Ninja Clan, and installed it in the Temple of Sharloon
Over the years, many attempts were made to return the statue, but to no avail.
Now you have been chosen to try where all others have failed ......
Your only assistance is a clue said to be hidden in a poem written in the fifth century by the poet Shimito
Now as you enter the dark Dragon Head Forrest (sic), deep within Gray Ninja Territory, you wonder if you have made the correct decision.
Well my friend, you'll need all your skill and cunning to survive this one."
