Star Wars Racer Arcade is a racing game developed by Sega Rosso and LucasArts in 2000 for the Sega Hikaru arcade system. The game is inspired by the podracing sequences in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, and the controls are replicas of podracer controls.
Story
For generations, the GALACTIC PODRACING CIRCUIT has thrilled citizens of the Outer Rim Territories with its dangerous combination of high-speed vehicles and high-risk courses.
Amid the ruffians and racing elite, one champion stands above the rest. His name is Sebulba, a cunning and ruthless pilot who wins by any means necessary.
To challenge him, all the best Podrace pilots in the Outer Rim have gathered on the desert planet Tatooine for the legendary BOONTA CLASSIC. This monumental event will determine who will claim the title of fastest Podracer in the Galaxy...[1]
Gameplay
There are four tracks in the game, each with their own level of difficulty: Bantha Tracks (Easy), Smuggler's Cove (Normal), Pixelito Challenge (Hard) and Boonta Classic (Expert). The player can assume the role of either Anakin Skywalker, Ben Quadinaros, Gasgano or Sebulba.
