Torico , known as Gekka Mugentan Torico (月花霧幻譚 TORICO) in Japan and Lunacy in North America, is an adventure game reliant on full motion video comprised of pre-rendered 3D animation and a successor to Yumemi Mystery Mansion and The Mansion of Hidden Souls .
History
Development
Torico initially struggled to obtain Sega of America and Sega Europe 's approval, at one point being publicly cancelled[3] . It was subsequently un-cancelled and released in early 1997.
Gameplay
The game plays almost identically to Yumemi Mystery Mansion , the player travels on pre-determined paths and movement is displayed via FMV. Like Yumemi Mystery Mansion, the player can examine objects, some of which can be picked up and held in their inventory.
Unlike The Mansion of Hidden Souls , the player is not prompted to converse with other characters.
Controls
or choose direction of travel walk in selected direction, examine/pick up objects use item from inventory exit inventory without using item inventory memory recall
