The Sega European Championships 1993 was a series of events held across Europe during 1993. The full details (and correct name) is currently unknown.

Between April and July 1993, Sega hosted a variety of gaming competitions across several European countries, in which two groups; "junior" (12 years and under) and "senior" would compete on a variety of Sega Mega Drive and Sega Mega-CD games for a high score. The winners of the individual tournaments went on to play a grand final, held in Vienna, Austria, hosted[3] by English actor Steven O'Donnell[4], the "face" of Sega's european advertising campaign Sega TV, and German-Austrian TV presenter, writer and actress Arabella Kiesbauer (Cosima Arabella-Asereba Kiesbauer), on the 4th September, 1993.

Games featured in the final include Cool Spot and Jungle Strike on the Mega Drive, and Final Fight CD and Jaguar XJ220 on the Mega-CD (prior to the system's launch in many countries).

Mikael Roth of Sweden won the junior contest, while Markko Rankala of Finland won the senior contest. Damon Hill awarded the prizes.
