Haruomi "Harry" Hosono (細野晴臣) is a renowned and highly-influential Japanese musician. A founder of pioneering electronic music group Yellow Magic Orchestra, Hosono was a member of Multimedia Creators Network, a video game development studio established to produce LaserDisc-based software for the Pioneer LaserActive.

Approached by Pioneer to assemble a varied team of media artists to produce software for their upcoming LaserActive platform, ambient artist Jotaro Nonaka founded Multimedia Creators Network, and subsequently recruited his mentor Hosono as a founding member of the fledgling studio. Hosono would contribute to the group's three released titles: 1994's 3D Museum and Melon Brains: Exploring The Mind Of The Dolphin, and 1995's Goku, with a fourth title, UFO & ET, planned but ultimately cancelled.
