Namie Manabe (真鍋 奈見江) is a background designer who joined Sega Enterprises out of her love of games, and worked on the Clockwork Knight series[1][2]. She left in 1996 to work freelance on PetPost, an artificial pet mail-soft, establishing PetWorks alongside director Kazuhiko Hachiya and programmer Takashi Koki[3]. In 2001, Manabe and some of her friends created the dress-up doll Momoko[1].
