Sega in Morocco

Hey. I was browsing through your last edition and wanted to ask if Sega Dreamcast was in the European version in Morocco? And if you have more interesting information about Sega in Africa and in the Arab World, write this because unfortunately I can not find information about this region. Generally, all North Africain countries have European Sega products, but in the Gulf I've seen both European and Japanese products. I'm always on the lookout for anything African/Arabic, but it's hard because of how little information exists, even in Arabic, and there's some things I found and didn't put in the wiki, but I'm going to do when I can. - Saad

So, due to some internet problems on my end, i can't upload some new issues that have been scanned by this account , if anyone can upload this , it will be great.

Magazine page numbers

Distributors in the Middle East

Hey there, I just need clarification on this real quick. So far we have some info from all the least well known countries on SEGA, including. Do you know who the distributors for the competitors were (i.e., Nintendo, very little is known on their subject? -Rowdy

the current Nintendo distributors in the Middle East seem to be Active Boeki, Shas Samurai's (part of Active Boeki) website mentions both the wii and the ds.

Historically, there were many companies distributing nintendo consoles in the MENA region like Benfa in Morocco.

You added an info about Saturn release in Gulf. I wonder if Alesayi United sold Asian Saturn, because date of published article indicates that this was before EU release (I have seen Euro version of Saturn with Alesayi sticker once). Geti3220 (talk) 13:34, 26 January 2024 (EST)

I reread some of the articles on the Saturn in the first and second issues of Alaab Alcomputtar and i think there were Asian Saturns in the Gulf before the European release, as it explicitly states at one point in the first issue that "the console is currently available". But i think Alesayi United only distributed the European version in July, and the Saturn before that was imported from other countries.I think so because of two reasons: there's an official statement in the first issue from Aleyasi United about how the future release of the Saturn will be big news in the region, and also in the second issue, it states that "the Saturn is finally released officially", and the magazine also implies that Saturn games were only officially distributed in July, as no Saturn games were listed as available in the market in the first issue, but a couple were listed in the second issue.

I would also like to this chance ask you a question about the reason you were changing the order of magazine articles? If its to ensure that they're listed chronoglogically I'll make sure to keep that in mind when I edit pages in the future so that you dont have to fix stuff after me :p -Saad (talk) 18:51, 26 January 2024 (EST)

Could you give me a link with this article about the July release? I would like to add it as a source for history for Gulf region and the Saturn models in Asia. The price you gave in the '"Sega Saturn" article refers to import or after the release of the European model?

Oh yeah i should've talked about the price in my first reply, its actually both! 2300 is the price that Aleyasi United said It'll sell the (European) Saturn for, and 2500 is the price of the imported Saturns already available on the market. As for the link, the source of my July release claim is the opening paragraph of Alaab Alcomputtar's review of Virtua Fighter in the second issue, here's a magref :p. I should add that it probably released at the very end of July or possibly even early August according to the article itself. No earlier than the 21st of July thats for sure.
