Actua Golf (アクチャーゴルフ) is a game in the Actua Sports series developed by Gremlin Interactive. In North America it is known as VR Golf '97. It was released for the Sega Saturn in 1996.

    History

    Development

Actua Golf's roots date back to 1995, where it was originally announced (in North America at least) as VR Golf '96 for release in February 1996[4]. It is thought to have been delayed for the best part of a year, becoming VR Golf '97 in the process.

    Legacy

The game would spawn two sequels, Actua Golf 2 and Actua Golf 3 respectively, though these would bypass the Saturn in favour of the Sony PlayStation.
