Medieval: Total War is a strategy game developed by The Creative Assembly and published by Activision for Windows PC in 2002. An expansion pack, Viking Invasion , was released in 2003. This and the main game were published together as Medieval: Total War Gold Edition . This collection was released on Steam in 2015 under name MEDIEVAL: Total War - Gold Edition , which was later renamed MEDIEVAL: Total War - Collection .
A sequel was released in 2006, Medieval II: Total War .
