Rome II: Total War - Emperor Edition is an updated re-release of Rome II: Total War. It adds Armenia as a playable faction and a new Imperator Augustus campaign.

While given a new physical release, the digital version was treated as a free update to the base game, completely replacing the original on Steam[3].
