Gameplay
This title served as an Update to Greatest Nine 97, giving Players sound suite additions and bugfixes [4], along with two new camera angles available while batting -- one at a lower view, and one at a three-quarters angle reminiscent of the Dynamite Baseball series. One New Game Mode, "'97 Pennant," was added, allowing users to play out a season with the actual statistics and data of the first half of the 1997 NPB Season, such as when players were injured or traded in real life. This Game Mode would be replaced with the player-focused "Narikiri Mode" in Greatest Nine 98.
