Samba de Amigo (サンバDEアミーゴ) is a 2008 game developed by Gearbox Software and Escalation Studios and published by Sega for the Wii. Despite sharing the same name as the original arcade and Dreamcast game it's in fact a new version, featuring nearly every song from those versions, alongside some songs from Ver.2000, as well as brand new content created for this version, such as new songs, new stages, new modes and minigames, and cameos from other Sega characters. It also features the addition of downloadable content, with packs of additional songs available at a price.
In Europe the game was bundled with maracas accessories, which consisted of plastic enclosures for the two halves of a Wii Remote. There was also a range of third-party maracas available both in Europe and worldwide.
