The Japanese version of Sega International Victory Goal (セガ インターナショナル ビクトリーゴール), is a football game for the Sega Saturn, acting effectively as a spin-off of the earlier Victory Goal.

History

Though it shares its name with another Sega International Victory Goal (a Saturn game not released in Japan), it is actually a very different product following a similar premise, rather than a localisation of the aforementioned Western version. The Japanese SIVG makes a number of aesthetic changes, has a new soundtrack and sports and improved game engine, lying somewhere in-between Victory Goal and Victory Goal '96.

Teams

Like the Western International Victory Goal, only 12 international teams are included. The roster is similar, though Belgium and the United States have been replaced with Japan and South Korea.

  • Brazil Brazil
  • Germany Germany
  • England England
  • France France
  • Spain Spain
  • South Korea S.Korea
  • Italy Italy
  • Netherlands Netherlands
  • Argentina Argentina
  • Denmark Denmark
  • Romania Romania
  • Japan Japan

Music and sound

The player can choose between 5 different background tracks when the game is paused, as well as turn the music off.

  • Get A Chance!
  • Dancin! Dancin!
  • Run 4 Dreams
  • Cool Match
  • Go To Goal
