Story
The OTEGA corporation has successfully established the Historical Tactical Center, an elite combat training facility with a powerful supercomputer that can simulate combat from any time period for the purposes of training military soldiers. However, an agent from a rival corporation has infiltrated the Historical Tactical Center and deployed a "Predator Virus" into the facility's central system as an act of sabotage, creating a time-distortion vortex that swallows the supercomputer's core and the engineers, threatening to consume the world.
Stanley Opar, a S.A.V.E. (Special Action for Virus Elimination) operative, is called to the scene by a Class 1 alarm to enter the time-distortion vortex and eliminate the rapidly-mutating virus.

History
The game was created first on PC MS-DOS computers and then on PlayStation during 1996 by Adeline Software International, a subsidiary of Delphine Software International which was composed of former developers of the original Alone in the Dark title while they still were in Infogrames. Since the Adeline staff lacked development experience on the Sega Saturn console, its parent company Delphine outsourced the conversion of the game to Virtual Studio, not long after the release of the PlayStation version[3].
After enduring a complicated process of more than one year to convert the game which almost resulted in its cancellation, the title was eventually released in early 1998 by the Japanese branch of Acclaim Entertainment, only in Japan and in a very rough and glitchy state.
