S.S. Lucifer: Man Overboard!, also known as simply Man Overboard!,[7][8] is a Mega Drive action platform game developed by Odysseus Software and published by Codemasters. A port of the developer's 1993 Amiga game Sink or Swim[9], it was first published in Europe in November 1994[2], and was also ported to the Game Gear by Big Red Software one month earlier.[6]
Contents
Gameplay
The game has you play as Kevin Codner, rescue mariner extraordinaire tasked with saving passengers from the S.S. Lucifer. Similar to Lemmings, this requires guiding the passengers to an exit by interacting with the environment. If the player takes too long the room will be flooded.
History
Neither the Mega Drive or Game Gear versions of S.S. Lucifer: Man Overboard! were released in North America or Japan. They remained exclusives for Europe and Australia, although an American release was advertised by GameTek under its original name.[10]
Development
The working titles for the Sega versions were Kevin Codner[11] and Man Overboard!
