Putt & Putter (パット＆パター), known in the US as Putt & Putter: Miniature Golf, and known simply as Minigolf in Brazil, is an isometric-projection golf game for the Sega Game Gear by SIMS. Though it shares the same name and developer, it is not the same as the Master System version as it has completely different maps.

Scorecard

The game is a minigolf game played on small, isometric courses. There are two modes, Beginner and Master, each with its own set of 18 holes. The Master mode unlocks after completing all of the Beginner holes. The goal is to putt a ball into the hole in the fewest strokes. Courses often contain obstacles and hazards that can help or hinder the player. It is not ordinarily possible to hit the ball outside of bounds or over gaps; the ball ricochets off the boundaries of the terrain.

The player starts the game with eight balls. Each hole has a par rating depending on its difficulty, indicating the number of strokes it should take to complete. Beating the par rating rewards the player with an extra ball for each stroke under par: one bonus ball for a birdie (one under par), two bonus balls for an eagle (two under par), and three bonus balls for an albatross (three under par). Conversely, finishing over par costs the player balls, but only if the player finishes more than two strokes over par. So three over par costs one ball, four over par costs two balls, and so forth. The game ends if the player runs out of balls.

Each hole starts by placing the ball on the tee mat, a small square at the beginning of the course, using the D-Pad to position the ball and 2 to place it. The player can examine the course with the D-Pad before each shot. The player makes a shot by pressing 2, which causes markers and a power meter to appear. The markers indicate the trajectory of the shot (including how it will rebound after hitting the edges of the course) and can be rotated with Left and Right. The power meter cycles from empty to full, indicating the lowest and highest putting power respectively, and the player hits the ball with 2 when the power meter is at the desired level.

A password appears after every third hole so the game can be continued. During gameplay, the player can check the results of each hole with  START . The password "PUTT " is given after completing Beginner mode for enabling Master mode.
