Off-World Interceptor Extreme (オフワールド・インターセプター エクストリーム) is a Sega Saturn action driving game developed by Crystal Dynamics. An enhanced port of the developer's titular 1994 3DO Interactive Multiplayer game Off-World Interceptor, it was first published in the United States by Crystal Dynamics themselves in October 1995, and was brought to Europe the following month. Later that November, BMG Victor localized and published Off-World Interceptor Extreme in Japan.
Both this game and the 3DO original are most notable for its full-motion video cutscenes, which parody the popular 1988 American movie review television series Mystery Science Theatre 3000 by having a pair of hosts provide sardonic commentary over the in-game cutscenes. The rear of the box even specifically advertises these scenes in a self-aware manner, going out of its way to claim how "cheesy" a trope full-motion video had become in the world of early CD gaming.[9]

While Off-World Interceptor Extreme is perhaps most-remembered today for its :Mystery Science Theatre 3000 parody segments, when the game was localized for Japan by BMG Victor, the commentary was removed and replaced with Japanese-language dubs of the original cutscenes. Interestingly, this remains the only release of the game to feature the original cutscenes as first created for the project.
