Virtua Striker 2 Version '98 (バーチャストライカー2 バージョン '98) is an update to Virtua Striker 2 for Sega Model 3 arcade hardware. Sega Logistics Service announced it would end service on the machines on March 31, 2017.[3][4]

Version '98 has the same number of teams as the orignial Virtua Striker 2 (26), but changes some of the countries.
