Softimage is a brand of high-end 3D rendering tools created by the fittingly-named Softimage, Inc. During the 1990s, Softimage's products were at the cutting edge of visual design, and were used in the production of a wide variety of visual media, including TV, film and video games.
Since 2008 all Softimage-related assets have been owned by Autodesk, and subsequently branded as "Autodesk Softimage".
