Softimage is a brand of high-end 3D rendering tools created by the fittingly-named Softimage, Inc. During the 1990s, Softimage's products were at the cutting edge of visual design, and were used in the production of a wide variety of visual media, including TV, film and video games.

Since 2008 all Softimage-related assets have been owned by Autodesk, and subsequently branded as "Autodesk Softimage".

Released in 1988, Softimage 3D (stylised "Softimage|3D") was Softimage's core product until the release of Softimage XSI in 2000. It was included alongside several workstations offered by Silicon Graphics, and from 1995 became part of the official Sega Saturn development kit[1].
