Shogun: Total War is a strategy game developed by The Creative Assembly and published by Electronic Arts for the Windows PC in 2000. An expansion pack, Mongol Invasion, was released in 2001. Both this and the core game were published together as Shogun: Total War Gold Edition by Sega at a later date. This collection was once again rereleased on Steam in 2015 under name SHOGUN: Total War - Collection.
A sequel was released in 2011, Shogun 2: Total War.
