The FBI has charged a Westchester County man who has reputed ties to organized crime with supplying slot machines to the St. Regis Indian Reservation. Agents executed search warrants at four sites in Las Vegas Wednesday and arrested John Ernest Mascia of Hartsdale and Pepper Hailey of Las Vegas. The men face felony charges of interstate transportation in aid of racketeering, interstate transportation of gaming devices and conspiracy, the FBI said. Mascia, according to Las Vegas FBI agent Burk Smith, is "New York talent" with alleged ties to the organization of reputed mob boss John Gotti. Mascia was present on the reserve near Massena when shipments were delivered and paid the truckers in cash, the FBI said. Casino supporters have maintained that gambling proceeds have stayed within the Mohawk community, but law enforcement officials have long suspected that organized crime might be involved in the casinos. The arrests are part of an ongoing investigation involving gambling establishments on the Mohawk reserve, also know as Akwesasne, and their connections to Las Vegas. Agents obtained court authorization to create a "pen register." a listing of all telephone numbers called, from three numbers in Las Vegas beginning Feb. 22. Many calls to the Mohawk reservation were documented, including one as recent as Sept. 27. St. Regis casinos have been closed since New York state police occupied the reserve following the May 1 shooting deaths of Mohawks. The tribe has been trying to negotiate an agreement with the state to legally operate casinos. The FBI has tracked shipments of slot machines to the reservation and New York City dating back more than two years.

Korwin Eugene Hailey born in Emporia, Kansas... he also lived in Colorado Springs... this info was acctually taken from the Monday, March 10, 1997 issue of the newspaper Colorado Springs Gazette (Page 12) which says that Korwin E. Hailey a former resident in Colorado Springs who was a coin machine operator married with Reiko Kay Hailey died in Las vegas on March 3 1997, etc, etc... the newspaper is hosted in this "stinky" website... they want money so they only let us see the zoomed version of that page once... and as you guys can see here a Korwin Eugene Hailey born in Kansas, living in El Paso, Colorado is listed in the "U.S. WWII Draft Cards Young Men, 1940-1947"... so I guess we can say that Sega Retro "scored a goal"...--Asagoth (talk) 05:00, 4 January 2019 (EST)

"The Khaki Mafia: A novel"...

"June Collins made international news headlines in 1969 when she became a whistle-blower and testified before a U.S. Senate Committee. An ex exotic-dancer / rock-band agent, she pointed the finger at a group of corrupt American Army sergeants who managed the military clubs and made millions during the Vietnam war by demanding kickbacks from all booking agents and sales people. Hated by some, she was called a heroine by many and became part of the history of the Vietnam War. The Khaki Mafia, a slightly fictionalized account of the events became one of the best selling books on Vietnam. It was co-authored with Robin Moore (author The French Connection.) The Khaki Mafia was only the first of June's books about the Vietnam war. She has since written two true stories; Goodbye Junie Moon and a sequel, Junie Moon Rising.

During her many years living in Asia, June had become appalled by the plight of the abandoned street children. She later adopted six children, ranging in age from 3 to 13, from India, Korea, Columbia and the USA."

Yep... one of the whistle-blowers... and apparently her books Goodbye "Junie Moon" and the sequel, "Junie Moon Rising" are not fictional novels... but two true stories based on what she knew and saw...Asagoth (talk) 15:37, 23 January 2020 (EST)

Freddy Bailey memory was much better in 2006 than in 2015...

So this is what Freddy Bailey said in 2015 at www.coinopcollectorforum.com... but what he said privately to User: Mills (from Levallois, France) of www.flippers-jukeboxes.net (a French forum) in 2006 is much more interesting... Mills never had any patents in Japan so Martin was able to knock off the Mills mechanism :) ... the Sega Bell was indeed an exact copy of the Mills High Top 777... :) ...--Asagoth (talk) 22:13, 23 January 2020 (EST)
