Goofy must recover the missing pieces of the exhibits, defeat Pete, and save his job before the curator comes in tomorrow. + | The game is a platform game played as Goofy. Stages consist of multiple levels, and the goal of each level is to make it to the end. At the end of each stage, Goofy fights Pete. Goofy walks with {{left}} and {{right}}, crouches with {{down}}, and jumps with {{C}}. He uses his Extend-O-Hand gadget with {{B}}. The Extend-O-Hand works as a weapon for defeating enemies. Some enemies can also be defeated by jumping on them. The Extend-O-Hand can also be used to grab and swing from certain blocks. Many of the platforming challenges in the game are designed around this mechanic. The Extend-O-Hand can be used while crouching or jumping and can be aimed with the D-Pad. Goofy can find different Extend-O-Hand attachments through the game, which are switched with {{A}}. These additional attachments are limited use and only last for the current level. Some of them help Goofy attack enemies, but some of them enhance his movement.
+ | |||
+ | Goofy has five health points, depicted as goobers in the status bar. He loses a health point when he touches an enemy or a hazard. He loses a try when he runs out of health points or falls down a bottomless pit (including deep water); the number of tries he has remaining can be viewed by pausing the game with {{Start}}. The game ends if he runs out of tries. The player receives an extra try from collecting 50 balloons, earning 50,000 points, or finding one of Goofy's pals in a level.
