Chester Cheetah: Wild Wild Quest is the sequel to Chester Cheetah: Too Cool to Fool. It was released for the Sega Mega Drive exclusively in North America in 1994. This one plays more like a traditional platformer than the previous game, with more conventional, shaded graphics.

Story

After escaping from the zoo, Chester Cheetah embarks on a cross-country road trip on his motorcycle. However, maniacal zookeeper Mean Eugene chases him down and steals his map, rips it to pieces, and scatters the pieces all over the United States. Chester must find and reassemble the pieces to make it to Hip City USA.

Gameplay

Map

The game is a platformer played as Cheetos mascot Chester Cheetah. In each level, Chester must find a piece of his map, then go to the exit. Every level is followed by a fight against a boss.

Chester moves with Left and Right. He ducks with Down and jumps with A or C. He runs by holding B and can jump farther while running. He can defeat enemies by jumping on them. He can "super jump" high into the air with Down+A or Down+C. He can use his super jump to smash blocks overhead or stomp through them when he lands. He grabs ledges automatically and can pull himself up them with A or C. When underwater, he can swim with AAAAA or CCCCC.

Chester loses a life if he hits an enemy or a hazard. If the player has found a Cheese Puffs item in the level, Chester opens the bag and eats the cheese puffs, reviving him. Otherwise, he loses a life. Every level also has a time limit, and the player loses a life if time runs out. The game ends if the player runs out of lives but can be continued a limit number of times.
