Rent A Hero No.1 (レンタヒーロー No.1) is a Sega Dreamcast remake of Rent A Hero, a Sega Mega Drive action RPG. The game was later ported to the Xbox. No versions have ever left Japan, though a US release of the Xbox version was at one point scheduled to be published by AIA.
The engine for Spikeout: Digital Battle Online was utilized for this game.[5][6] Fittingly, Spikeout itself was previously codenamed Rent A Hero Returns.[7]
