Weaponlord is a versus fighting game for the Sega Mega Drive. It was only released in North America, although a European release was initially planned for an August (later September[2]) 1995 release by Ocean Software.
The game was drummed by various magazines up to become a contender to Street Fighter II and Mortal Kombat for the fighting game crown, but was ultimately held back by factors such as the region limited release and small character roster.
