This teeny-tiny article needs some work. You can help us by expanding it.

Toei Animation Co., Ltd. (東映アニメーション株式会社), known as Toei Douga (東映動画) until October 1998, is a Japanese animation studio.

Toei Company bought Toei Animation (then known as Nihon Douga Eiga) in 1956 and currently owns a just over a third of the studio. While the two firms often work together, Toei Company occasionally publishes unrelated animation through its subsidiary Toei Video, which has also been involved in video game publishing.

Sega, Ma-Ba and Bandai have published games based on their intellectual properties. They also made the animated cutscenes for the Sonic the Hedgehog CD and Segagaga.
