Gameplay
Cloud Master is a typical horizontal scrolling shooter, but uses a fantastical Chinese theme based on the classic novel Xiyouji. The player assumes the role of Michael Chen (Son Wokong), who rides around on a cloud and shoots energy from his hands.

History
It was originally released in arcades by Hot-B and Taito in 1988 under the Japanese name Chuka Taisen (中華大仙); putting Cloud Master in a Japanese console produces this title. Unfortunately, the game was developed and released just after Sega stopped releasing titles for the Master System in Japan. The Master System version is one of only two non-Japan versions of the game for many years, and is the only release to use a title besides "Chuka Taisen" for non-Japan purposes.
Insector X is a sequel to this game in design, though not in theme.
