Mega Drive version
Enable blood
In the options menu, press . The screen should flash if entered correctly.
Unlike Mortal Kombat's infamous blood code, the code here just swaps out the hit effect graphic and can be tricky to see.
Play as other characters in story mode
In the options menu select your character by picking a number in the music test:
- 1: Mephis
- 2: Sett
- 3: Nezu
- 4: Kaori
- 5: Beast
- 6: Auroch
- 7: Voodoo
- 8: Colonel
- 9: Diesel
- 10: Leotsu
- 11: Rajah
- 12: Shaq
Then press . If entered correctly, the screen should flash.
Now when playing story mode, while the intermission screens will still feature Shaq, in game you will be playing as your selected character.
Game Gear version
Sega logo ™ symbol
While not released in Japan, code exists to remove the ™ symbol from the introductory Sega logo if the game detects it is being played on a Japanese system.
