Virtua Striker 2 Ver. 2000 (バーチャストライカー2 バージョン2000) is an update to Virtua Striker 2. This variant is more significiant than prior updates as it now runs on Sega NAOMI arcade hardware, rather than Sega Model 3.

The game sold over 10,000 arcade units worldwide.[3] Sega Logistics Service announced it would end service on the machines on March 31, 2017.[4][5]
