Macromedia Flash is a multimedia software platform used for production of animations, rich web applications, desktop applications, mobile apps, mobile games, and embedded web browser video players.
A version of Flash 3 was available for the Sega Dreamcast, which was included as part of multiple standalone web browsers, as well as the online sections of several other games. Sega would also create a number of browser games using Flash, however it would eventually be phased out in favour of HTML5.
