Enter the options screen and using the second controller, press 
. A sound will play to confirm correct entry.
To skip the current level press START to pause the game during play. Now press 
then press START again. Instead of un-pausing, the next level will immediately load.

Get a high score and enter 000CHEAT as a name. Afterwards, start a new game to start with extra ammo.
