Tae Fujimoto (藤本 多恵) is a Sega composer and pianist,[2] mainly known for creatimg music and jingles related to Chain Chronicle and Wonderland Wars. She was born March 6th.[3]

Career

Tae Fujimoto began playing piano at age 7 and composing/arranging at 18, specializing in orchestral works reminiscent of films and shows set in fantasy worlds. The earliest known video game to feature her music is the iOS game Machikoro developed by Grounding Inc., for which she composed and orchestrated the opening.[4][1]

She joined Sega shortly thereafter, contributing to the 2015 editions of StarHorse 3 and Chain Chronicle. For the latter, she would eventually supersede Takahiro Kai as sound director of the series (for example, she decided the song order for the 2018 album Chain Chronicle 5th Anniversary Original Soundtrack[5]), but began by co-arranging "Beginning Of The Next Chain" with Kai, being the ending theme for the second part of the story.

She still engaged with non-Sega creators early on, such as with the music unit Knights of the Sound-Table, which took inspiration from JRPGs to create an ongoing narrative through its music and illustrations. Fujimoto served as the group's keyboardist for a short period in 2016, playing the character TEA.[6][2]. Later that same year, Fujimoto created the Title and Game Over jingles for maimai MURASAKi and would do the same for the following maimai release maimai MiLK.

In 2017, Fujimoto began working on another game Takahiro Kai was in charge on, Wonderland Wars, working on the series' many Wonderskill Jingles and other short songs, as well as working on the game's 2019 mobile spin-off League of Wonderland.[7] Also in 2017, she released a solo album through the label April Forest, entitled Stress Relief for Women (Solfeggio 528Hz), with every recorded instrument tuned to 528Hz, a frequency theorized to aid in repairing broken DNA.[8][9][10]

Wolf Fujimoto, her persona used on Sega On: Sega no Ongaku Shitsu

She continued her work as sound director of the Chronicle games with Sin Chronicle in 2022, creating most of the game's music alongside main composer Kevin Penkin. In part to promote Sin Chronicle, she donned the persona Wolf Fujimoto (ウルフ藤本) to co-host a spin-off of the YouTube series Sega On: Sega no Ongaku Shitsu (SEGA音 ~SEGAの音楽室~) with Takenobu Mitsuyoshi, which largely involved interviewing guest composers for the game (Kenji Ito, Yuzo Koshiro. Yoko Shimomura, etc.) in a talk show format.[7]
