History

During development, the game was known under the working title of Great Boxing.[8]

It is one the earliest-recorded game to feature artwork by Naoto Ohshima, who was a fan of the Rocky. Before being known as Bigisland, this game would inspire the pseudonym he is credited as in Phantasy Star, Rockhy Nao[9].
