Olympic Games is an unreleased Sega Saturn sports game tied with the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. It was to be developed and published by U.S. Gold and released in "Summer" (later August[2]) of 1996 in Europe (and presumably North America).
Olympic Games was originally a two-part game, titled Olympic Games Vol 1 and Olympic Games Vol 2, both announced alongside Olympic Soccer in mid-1995. At some point, the two volumes were condensed into one, but despite being extensively advertised and sent to the press for review, the Saturn version of the game never surfaced. A similar PC port was also cancelled for unknown reasons, though the PlayStation port, known as Olympic Summer Games in North America and Honoo no 15 Shumoku Atlanta Olympic in Japan, was released.
Olympic Games on the Saturn is unrelated to the Mega Drive tie-in, Olympic Summer Games handled by THQ. Likewise, all versions (aside from the PC port) of Olympic Soccer shipped.
The Saturn version was at one point priced at £44.99 in the UK[2].
