Roppongi GiGO
From Sega Retro
To do
- Transcribing the credits for I Will: The Story of London, and apparently there's a Special Thanks to Roppongi GiGO. Admittedly I haven't watched the whole game through, maybe there's some neat interior footage?

- late reply, but I noticed this credit a while back too - flicked through some playthroughs and I believe it uses just a couple of brief interior shots of its casino area, bizarrely masquerading it as being the famous Victoria Casino in London (now owned by Grosvenor Casinos) for reasons known only to the developers of the game themselves. Perhaps they couldn't get filming permission, or a place in Japan was just more convenient?
- With the location's former prominence (note the mentions on this page of it attracting celebrities and being close to a Japanese television station's studios), it has also likely turned up in a lot of other undocumented stuff. I have previously read that it was seen in Choukou Senshi Changerion, although that one shouldn't come quite as much of a surprise seeing as Sega effectively sponsored the series and made its toys + developed a Pico game.
- The few episodes that I have watched certainly featured a fair bit of Sega, including a Saturn playing Virtua Fighter and a scene shot in a Sega World branch (couldn't tell which). It's similar to Evangelion in that regard - Sega sponsors the series + makes toys, and also gets some nice product placement out of it all as a result. They were also involved in the precursor tokusatsu film Mechanical Violator Hakaider; Changerion was originally planned to be a TV spinoff of it.
