Asami Shimada (島田 麻実), also known as Mekemeke (メケメケ)[1], is an artist at Sega of Japan. She joined Hitmaker in 2003. After its successor AM R&D Dept. #3 was dissolved in 2008, she went to AM R&D Dept. #2 and became known for her work on the Hatsune Miku franchise[2][3]. Following further corporate restructures in 2020, she has worked with Ryu ga Gotoku Studio as a technical artist.
