Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder, known as Golden Axe: Death Adder no Gyakushuu (ゴールデンアックス デスアダーの逆襲) in Japan, is an entry in the Golden Axe series, and the second arcade release. It was developed by Sega for Sega System 32 arcade hardware and released in 1992.
Like the original Golden Axe, the game is a 2D beat-'em-up, though as it is running on System 32 hardware, it is able to provide the user with superior graphics and sound than all previous entries in the series. It also offers four completely new playable characters.
The game has never been ported to a home platform. It was officially released for the first time outside arcades on the Astro City Mini.

Legacy
While not as frequently referenced as the original Golden Axe soundtrack, the music of The Revenge of Death Adder has occasionally resurfaced, first in 2008 with a remix of "A Hope for Tomorrow" being created for Golden Axe The Music by original composer Tomoyuki Kawamura, while the game's theme for series antagonist Death Adder was used in Golden Axe: Beast Rider. Several songs from the game have been available as background tracks in the MJ series since Sega Network Taisen Mahjong MJ5R Evolution [3].
