The Pasoko-1000 is an Arcade stick manufactured by Sanwa Denshi and released in 1985 only on Japan. It is compatible with a multitude of personal computers that accepts the "Atari standard port" (based on DE-9) through their general purpose input ports, such as MSX, PC-6001 mkII, Sharp X1, Commodore 64, Atari 2600 and others. It was sold in a black and white color variants, alongside wooden decoration in the left and right sides.
The Pasoko-1000 is an unusual Arcade stick that features a single stick in the center of it, while there is two buttons at both left and right sides. At the rear, there is a "Normal" and "Hight" jumper to enable rapid-fire capabilities. Sanwa also sold external adapters that can connect the stick with other devices, such as JS-1 (connects to PC-8801 mkII), JS-2 (connects to PC-8001 mkII and PC-8001 mkII SR), JS-4 (connects to other PC-6000 computers) and PS-4, a special adapter that allows the user to connect the stick into a Family Computer through its respective 15-pin expansion port, where the extra buttons for Start and Select plus a 1P-2P jumper were built-in the adapter itself (there is no dedicated built-in microphone function included, unlike the original Famicom controller for the second player).
Alongside many personal computers, Pasoko-1000's compatibility for the SC-3000 and SC-3000H is advised without the need of any adapters manufactured by Sanwa, although it was not licensed by Sega. By consequence, it is also compatible with the SG-1000 (Extension Cable Kit may be required) and SG-1000 II, but it is unknown if its compatibility expands further for Sega Mark III, Sega Master System and Sega Mega Drive due to extra electrical functions on several pins in their controller ports.
