*So the reason Wreck-It Ralph's section doesn't mention the ''[[Hang-On]]'' inspired full-body taikan stuff is because that's such a popular shape for that type of hardware that it needs mentioning elsewhere. Which brings me to: This article needs brief summaries on "generic references" to very popular Sega things... i.e. the Hang-On style of sit-down motorcycle cabinet was so popular and widespread that pretty much anytime you see a fictional arcade with "sit-down motorcycle games", they're almost always a Hang-On "reference" (at least through inspiration.) The Music references article will need the same thing. So short of listing every piece of media featuring Hang-On-like sit-down motorcycle cabs, we can keep it to a brief section with a few examples and maybe an inline image.

To do

  • Ensure all Reference article entries that feature both a Sonic and a non-Sonic reference have all refs listed on both their Sega and Sonic Retro entries.
  • So the reason Wreck-It Ralph's section doesn't mention the Hang-On inspired full-body taikan stuff is because that's such a popular shape for that type of hardware that it needs mentioning elsewhere.
  • This anecdote belongs somewhere. Maybe not here, but somewhere.
  • The Drew Carey Show's image needs to be replaced with one showing the Saturn console they had on top of the TV
  • Apparently the yellow robot with the buzzsaw from both Wreck-It Ralph movies is claimed to be a similar robot from Cyborg Justice. It really does look similar, but I'm only hesitating because of how obscure of a reference that would have to be. A lot of other characters in that scene aren't from games at all (they're more "stock game villains"), so maybe this is just the villain representing the 'killer robot' trope? On that same note, a lot of claimed Sega references from this film are hard to verify. i.e. the "Angel Kids" from Angel Kids? They look like stock cherubs but I don't know. Also, this primary source claims a clown is from Snacks'n Jaxon... so this source is not the best, yeah.

Wreck-It Ralph cameos to investigate

  • Yellow Robot from Cyborg Justice (referred to as 1011001) (This feels unlikely.)
  • Mishaela from Shining Force (referred to as Sorceress) (This feels unlikely.)
  • Shinobi from Shinobi (This feels unlikely.)
  • Angel Kids from Angel Kids (This feels unlikely.)
  • The Finish Line from Daytona USA (????? Needs research.)

Mark these as "noimage"

Mark these as "noimage" to hide the image box of the table, once I figure out how to do that. If that's even possible. Anyway, these one's don't have associated images. CartridgeCulture (talk) 03:09, 29 March 2022 (EDT)
