Todd's Adventures in Slime World, known in Japan as simply Slime World (スライムワールド), is a Sega Mega Drive action platform game developed by Micro World. A port of the titular 1991 Lynx game Todd's Adventures in Slime World, it was first published in Japan by Micro World themselves in April 1992[2], and was later brought to the United States by Renovation Products the following June.[3]

Gameplay

Todd's Adventures in Slime World sees protagonist Todd dropped onto slime-infested planets, traversing maze-like levels in an attempt to both reach the end and destroy as many slime monsters as possible without being killed.

As Slime World was originally developed with the Lynx in mind, the Mega Drive version spends a great deal of time rendering solid green, as its levels rarely accommodate the entire screen during gameplay. New to the Mega Drive version is an on-screen mini-map displayed in the top right - the Lynx version displays this data as a pop-up window on command.

Unlike the Atari Lynx version which supported up to eight players simultaneously, the Mega Drive version only supports up to two players.
