F1: World Championship Edition is the sequel to F1. It was released for the Sega Mega Drive and Sega Game Gear in 1995. It was only released in Europe and Australia.

Gameplay

F1: World Championship Edition builds on the gameplay seen in F1 but this time allows players to choose their team and driver.

Teams

  • Lotus
  • Williams
  • Tyrrell
  • Ferrari
  • Benetton
  • McLaren
  • Jordan
  • Minardi

History

Development

A Master System version and Mega-CD version[5] were once planned.

A prototype Mega Drive version seems to indicate that the game was also set for release in North America, where it would have been published by Time Warner Interactive.
