Hideaki Harry Morishita (森下 英昭) is the president of Remem and a former executive manager of online games for Sega of Japan, mainly related to Phantasy Star. He has also worked for Sony Electronics, SKY Perfect JSAT, Square Enix, Phonex Communications, Librica, Catch Media Japan and Remem. A decade after leaving Sega, he forged a partnership with Yu Suzuki and Ys Net[3].

Career

Hideaki Morishita began his career at Sony Electronics in 1981, and over his 16-year tenure filled many roles, including product manager, director and senior engineer[1]. He then worked at SKY Perfect JSAT for 2 years as general manager of the New Technology Planning/Platform Technology Division[1]. Finally he spent another 2 years as an executive officer and general manager at Square Enix, specifically for their Online Business Division[1].

He continued this experience of managing an online division at Sega, as head of the Network R&D Dept.. In 2006, he spent 9 months as an executive VP and senior board director for Sega Sammy Media, but left in October[1]. In 2007 he became deputy president and CTO at Phonex Communications[1]. In 2008, he also became president of Librica[1]. He left both companies in 2012 to become a freelance business planner, producer and consultant[1].

In 2013, while still in his freelance phase, he also became president of Catch Media Japan[1]. There, he formed a partnership with Yu Suzuki, becoming the Partnership Alliance Officer for Shenmue III and a later Ys Net game, Air Twister. Since 2018 he has been the president and representative director of Remem[1][4].
