Marc William Ericksen is an American illustrator[3] and former video game cover artist, known for creating the Western artwork for popular Mega Drive games such as Thunder Force II, G-LOC, Herzog Zwei, and many others.

Career
Ericksen began creating artwork for video game packaging, peripherals, and ephemera as early as 1982, illustrating the cover artwork for Brøderbund's first five titles. Over the next twenty years, he went on to create nearly 150 pieces of artwork for over 30 different game companies.[5] Among his favorite Sega illustrations are those for G-LOC, Steel Empire, Herzog Zwei, and Super Baseball 2020.[6]
In addition to his work in the game industry, Ericksen has also produced full-color artwork for corporations as diverse as Intel, United Airlines, Varian, Del Monte, and dozens more.
