The 1994-07-01 build of Ristar is a prototype build of Ristar for the Sega Mega Drive. It was released by drx during the February 23rd, 2008 proto release.
This is a near-final prototype of the Japanese release, designated as a "beta" in the header and credits. The core game has been implemented, and a full playthrough can be completed from start to finish, however there are bugs and several noticeable differences, as well as debugging functions being active. Hidden bonus features normally accessed via passwords have not been implemented yet. By this point in development, all character designs have been finalised.
