Sega Rally Championship, called just Sega Rally (セガラリー) in Japan, for the Game Boy Advance is an entry in the Sega Rally series. Despite its name it is not a port of the original Sega Rally Championship nor is it the same game as Sega Rally Championship on the Nokia N-Gage. It was first released in Japan in 2002, with an international release a year later.

Sega Rally on the Game Boy Advance is extremely similar to Sega Rally 2, but is forced to make a number of sacrifices due to the weaker hardware of the system. It also has a slightly different car roster to take into account more recent World Rally Championships.

Gameplay

Cars

SegaRally GBA LancerEvolutionVII.png
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII, was Mitsubishi's rally car of choice between 2001 and 2003. It follows previous Lancer Evolution models (several of which feature in Sega Rally 2), although unlike those, this model did not win any WRC titles.
SegaRally GBA Impreza.png
Subaru Impreza
The Subaru Impreza, is one of the more famous rally cars to take part in the WRC, although in this game, a specific model is not listed. Subaru Imprezas won the WRC in both 2001 and 2003, this version appears to be based on the 2003 model.
SegaRally GBA Corolla.png
Toyota Corolla
The Toyota Corolla likewise has no model name. It is likely based on the 2002 model, as Toyota pulled out of the sport in the 2003 season.
SegaRally GBA FocusRS.png
Ford Focus RS
The Ford Focus RS is presumably based on the model used in the 2002/2003 WRC, although its livery is that of the Ford Focus Rally Test Car, used before the car's entrance into WRC, and is also the livery used on the car's appearances on other games, such as the Gran Turismo series and Ford Racing 3, although those games also feature a white version of the livery.
SegaRally GBA 206.png
Peugeot 206 WRC 1999
The Peugeot 206 WRC 1999, is the Peugeot 206 WRC car entered in the 1999 WRC. The Peugeot 206 WRC won the 2000 and 2002 WRCs (and the 2001 Manufacturers' Championship) but this particular 1999 model came much futher down the field.
SegaRally GBA Stratos.png
Lancia Stratos
The Lancia Stratos comes straight from the original Sega Rally (as do two which follow below). They need to be purchased at the shop, which is perhaps odd as the Stratos features on the game's cover and title screen.
SegaRally GBA DeltaHFIntegrale.png
Lancia Delta
The Lancia Delta is also carried over from the original Sega Rally.
SegaRally GBA CelicaGTFour.png
Toyota Celica GT-Four
The Toyota Celica GT-Four is also carried over from the original Sega Rally.
